    Good primer

I generally prime at 35-40 psi no thinning is needed. This requires a lot of shaking before using though

    Best primer I've tried

Posted by Robert Davis on Aug 11, 2021

Wasn't happy with the primer I was using on my fishing lures. I prime in batches and I'd often notice a scrape or scratch that went through the primer. Read a lot of reviews and decided to try the Stynylrez primer. Immediately saw why it has such good reviews. Sprays great straight from the bottle. Did some comparison tests and found the Badger product had much better adhesion to the plastic. Found two more big improvements. Coverage is much improved....doesn't take as many coats to get a good prime. Was also really pleased to find that it dries a lot faster too. Only downside I could find was that airbrush cleanup was more difficult. If it adheres to plastic as well as it does to my airbrush, it's good stuff!

    Stynylrez Primer

Sprays thru airbrush unthinned with my Proton 275 airbrush at 25-30 psi. It tends to be a slight bit rough when dry but it's probably due to me technique.

Stynelrez is the only primer I use anymore. Super predictable and good coverage.

    White Stynlrez Primer

Stynlrez is one of my go-to primers. You hose it on and it just settles down and self-levels beautifully. You won't lose surface detail. I've never had the product flake off my plastic models the way some primers do. Be sure to shake it well, and warm it up in a bath of hot water for best results. I spray it with a .5 needle under 25 PSI. YMMV.
