ATOM COLOR Graugrün RLM74 Ammo ATOM-20157

ATOM is a new type of paint specifically designed for modelling and formulated for maximum performance when applied with both brush and airbrush, with strong covering power and durability, and perfect flow and colour intensity. ATOM paints are also self levelling and quick drying. These features mean that ATOM paints are easily applied using both brush and airbrush, achieving perfect coverage without obscuring fine details, and resulting in a smooth, uniform, durable, and matte finish. ATOM paints are water-based, odourless, and non-toxic. They have been manufactured in compliance with the most recent and strict global safety regulations.

The ATOM range includes 180 references covering a very broad chromatic range, from primary, bright, and intense colours, to metallics and washable colours. It also includes a specially formulated thinner for the entire range. In addition, the ATOM range also includes historically accurate colours for both aircraft and AFV camouflage schemes. Once dry, ATOM paints are extremely hard-wearing and can withstand the application of all kinds of modelling and weathering products, such as acrylics and enamels, as well as masking tapes and decals. ATOM paints can be applied on top of, or under, any type of paint, including acrylics, enamels, and lacquers. One of the unique features of ATOM paints is their ability to be applied directly onto plastic and other materials, providing excellent adhesion even over very smooth surfaces.

            Testing Mig Atom paint

I am no expert but do have experience with the usual enamel, acrylic and lacquer hobby paints and airbrushes.
I used the new Atom paint, thinned with Atom thinner/retarder 1:1 as follows:
            1. Kawasaki Green with Talon .38 airbrush
Result: no tip dry, good atomization, acceptable blending/mottling and easy
cleanup with ATOM thinner followed by lacquer thinner
            2. IJN Ash Green with H&S Infinity .2 airbrush
            Same result
            3. Nakajima Interior Green with Talon .38 airbrush
            Same result
            4. RLM 75 with H&S .2 mm airbrush
            Same result
My first reaction is quite favorable with these paints and I will use them on a few current projects.

I really like these new paints. They spray very well and the bottles are nice to work with.
