Createx Fluorescent Colors spray transparent rather than opaque. For the brightest appearance, Createx recommends applying them over a white foundation such as Createx Opaque White or AutoBorne Sealer White.

Airbrush Setup & Reduction

Createx Fluorescent Colors are designed to spray through an airbrush and work well with approximately a 0.5 mm tip size when used directly from the bottle. Reduction can be used when a thinner mixture or improved atomization is required.

  • 4011 Reducer: May be added to lower viscosity and improve flow and atomization, particularly with smaller airbrush tip sizes.
  • Transparent Base: Can be used when additional transparency is desired without simply over-reducing the paint.
  • Hard surfaces: Compatible Createx mixing additives or clears may be required depending on the substrate and application.

Reduction should be adjusted to the airbrush, tip size, pressure, surface, and desired spray characteristics rather than treated as one fixed ratio for every project.

Lightfastness & Fluorescent Color Care

Fluorescent pigments behave differently from standard permanent pigments. Createx states that its Fluorescent Airbrush Colors are not lightfast and are not intended as permanent color finishes.

Exposure to light will gradually reduce fluorescent intensity. This characteristic is inherent to fluorescent pigments and should be considered when choosing these colors for long-term or light-exposed projects.
