About Nestor

I have spent over 35 years dedicated to the art of scale modeling and precision painting, focusing on the creation of individual pieces and compositions. Two areas converge in my work process: my background as an engineer, which provides the structure and method needed to approach complex projects, and my artistic pursuit, which is oriented toward visual narrative, historical research, and realistic finishes.

This perspective has led me to understand modeling as a space of balance, where technical rigor supports creativity to give each model its own purpose and story.

Experience & Recognition

Industry Experience
  • Creative Director at SPRAYGUNNER

Being part of Spraygunner allows me to connect with people worldwide who share this passion, exchange experiences, attend events, and closely understand our sector's needs within the airbrush and spray solutions industry. As Creative Director, my role involves evaluating new technologies, products, and solutions, acting as a filter so that ideas translate into practical tools and clear, direct communication with our customer community. In this environment, we approach the airbrush as a fundamental tool in our industry, a true extension of the modeler's hand and indispensable to our creations.

  • Technology Evaluation and Testing

I actively test new solutions, paints, and airbrushes, while collaborating in design phases. This constant testing allows me to provide direct feedback to different companies in the industry, ensuring that final tools and products align with the real needs of modelers.

  • Collaborator at AMMO by Mig Jimenez

I work closely with the brand to develop technical content and specialized products, aiming to bring practical solutions to the global modeling community.

Over time, those early pursuits, and the stories behind my pieces, several of which are documented in my books, have led to awards at the International Plastic Model Society (IPMS/USA) national conventions, where I participate as an active member:

A Final Reflection

A Final Reflection

Scale modeling came into my life as an unexpected gift, and I have been fortunate enough to grow alongside it, enjoying it through every stage of my life. Throughout all these years, exploring its different facets has been a journey of constant learning; I continue to learn every single day, gathering new friendships, ideas, techniques, and inspiration along the way. If you are fortunate enough to have something you are truly passionate about, my greatest wish is for that passion to take you far.
