This product is very thin, goes on smoothly and drys quicky for sanding or re-coating. It is "runny" and flows like liquid cement, care needs to be taken so it goes only where you want it!. It works well on minor imperfections where filling is needed and only light sanding is desired because of detail you don't want compromised. (Fuselage or wing joints with lots of rivet detail.) I purchased all three densities Thin, Medium and Thick for a restoration project on a large plastic crucifix. For large voids I began with Mig Arming Putty and finished with the surfacers. The products all work well with each other. Each comes with a sharp pointed application brush, great with the Thin for precise application, but not so practicle for the Medium and Thick. The surfacers dry and build very quickly. I used a #4 flat brush for covering larger areas in the Medium and Thick products. The Medium product works the best for all around filling amd surfacing. All three products are pale blue in color and stand out well for sanding and finishing. I really didn't notice much difference between the Medium and Thick, but the Medium went on more smoothly, the Thick was more grainy. All three are easy to sand and produce a smooth finish. There is a place for each of the on the work bench. I think purchasing the Thin and Medium is a good starting place, they will cover most needs. I hope this helps with making a purchasing decision.
