Worst Purchase for me

I was looking for a budget priced diaphragm regulator / gauge set and sadly thought this would be a good selection. I couldn’t have been more wrong. It was defective out of the box, and it’s still within the return period, so I may do that. I’ll have to contact SprayGunner and see how to proceed.

The gauge will read line/hose pressure, and the regulator seems to work okay, but as soon as you pull the trigger for air, the gauge goes to zero when it’s clearly not. I can’t set my working pressure.

Anyway, I’ve ordered an Iwata 8131B AK-1R2 which should arrive in a few days.

Diaphragm Regulator

I purchased 2 of these units. Buyer beware. The regulator AND gauge size in photos are a little deceiving. The photos make this unit look much larger than it is. The gauge glass retaining ring is 1-1/8 inch overall diameter, but the face glass ( yes actual glass ) opening is only 15/16 inch diameter, which makes it hard to read for people with poor closeup vision ( like me ). Also something to keep an eye on, is the plastic plug in the bottom, which could be the reason for the 135 PSI Max pressure. I'll update after using this, but over all looks good. I just hope they sell rebuild kits if needed.
