Mr.Color Model Paint: Semi-Gloss Duck Egg Green

This is great paint. The color matches the FS numbers for British colors. Using Mr.leveling thinner it comes out smooth and silky. My mix ratio is about 60/40 thinner to paint at the start. As I go along I may thin it even more to suit my situation for a solid color or even as an opaque coat to cover my pre shading or my color modulation. I'm working with a pressure range of 12-18 psi. Of course pay attention to the usual safety procedures when painting.

When I returned to modelling a few years ago I was drawn to acrylic water-based paints because this type of paint worked so well on my house. Easy clean up no intoxication fumes. However 1:72 kits are smaller than a house and I've found water-based acrylics too often seem too thick.
Recently I installed a Pace spray booth so enamels, lacquers etc are back on the menu.
To say I'm pleased with the Mr Color paints is an understatement. Used with Leveling thinner airbrushing is a whole new ball game. I'll still have a use for water-based acrylics but I'll also be replacing the important colors with Mr Color.
Very Satisfied!
