The gear-driven blade is the secret to this one of a kind trimmer. Blade is designed to self-maintain for years; no replacing every month. Soft rubber feet won't scratch table. Ruler arm extends out to 17" (45cm). Rulers and 1/4" base grid is molded in to base for permanence. Arm compactly folds in to fit most any bag or carrier. ABS composite base is light but very strong. Safest cutter on-market. Cuts through all standard paper thickness, card-stock, bonded, patterned, textured, velum, foil, glitter paper, transparencies, tickers, all photo paper, and even light chip-board.

Features/Warnings:

  • The light can be used to illuminate the cutting edge for more accurate cuts. Some dark or extra thick stocks are very opaque and will not light up.
  • It is not recommended to trim heavy chipboard, thick plastics, cloth, adhesive, or metallic stock. All of these can ruin the blade and gear mechanism and will void your warranty.

Operating the Trimmer:

  • Place the trimmer on a flat, solid surface.
  • Move the blade carriage to either end of the gear rod.
  • Slide the paper flush against the ruler to ensure a square cut.
  • Move the left edge of the paper to the desired measurement along the ruler.
  • Slide the blade carriage along the rod with light pressure, pressing in towards the stationary cutting edge as you push or pull the blade.
  • To cut another edge, simply tur the paper and repeat.
  • The blade will cut in both directions - pushing or pulling towards you.
