Great for multipule uses.

I just acquired my 3rd PS-290. Needless to say I like them very much. You can get a lot of coverage quickly and the fan cap lets you get the proper overlap with pearls, metallics and clear coats helping to eliminate "Tiger Striping." I guess I need a 4th for priming.

Love Mr Hobby Airbrushes

After using various cheaper and used airbrushes and being disappointed in my skill, I did some research and it seems these airbrushes are made almost exactly to Iwata specs so I got one hoping to improve my game. Boy howdy is it ever night and day!? You won't be disappointed in the quality here. And I love the double action of the trigger pull. Air first, then paint. You can feel where it starts applying paint so you can control even the lowest flow. Also LOVE the huge and removable paint cup for applying paint and primers to larger surfaces.

Very nice brush, accessories-so so

Pretty impressed w the brush itself and it’s cup. Brush build/assembly/use “feels” like an Iwata?? Nice spray pattern, covers well. Trigger is comfortable, curious to see how the plastic handle would feel during use (out of stock when we ordered). Used it w Pro-Ac primer straight out of the bottle, works great as a base-coater.

Cleaning is a bit of a chore. Nice case, though ours will live on a stand.

If you’re a Iwata/H&S shop, you’ll find the connectors on the included MAC valve and hose an issue. We chucked the included hose & MAC valve and use our Grex braided hoses. Don’t need a MAC in our use case, if so we’ll use one of our existing Iwata compat thread MACs (they’re also a bit more compact).

Overall the brush gets a 5, the accessories get a 2. Still a bargain IMHO.
