The Sparmax MAX-3 airbrush provides exceptional performance with even the smallest compressors because it atomizes well at low pressures.

It has a 0.3mm needle and nozzle combination for general purpose to fine detail spraying.

The Sparmax MAX-3 is a dual-action airbrush but can be easily converted to a Single-action airbrush with the Single-action Air Valve that is included. It also features a Pre-set Handle which limits the color flow to avoid over-shooting and a Crown Cap allowing you to get closer to your work and thus achieve finer detail, while still protecting the needle.

The Sparmax MAX-3 airbrush features:

Gravity-feed with 1/4 oz (7ml) fixed cup with lid
Dual-action airbrush with Single-action valve included – converts the airbrush from a dual-action to a single-action airbrush (simple installation guide included)
Internal-mix
0.3mm needle and nozzle combination for general purpose to fine detail spraying
Fine detail to 1" (0.3mm to 25mm) spray pattern with the one size nozzle
Ergonomic handle design with a Pre-set color flow control
Extra Crown Cap included

Great Airbrush

What an airbrush for the price! I prefer it to my Iwata HP-CS. Max3 sprays great at lower psi for excellent detailing on scale models. The craftsmanship exceeds that of some more expensive airbrushes.

Very nice Max 3

All good! Finish is great, parts all seem to be well done. Adjustment for limited trigger position is right on, and cup is plenty big for a 0.3 mm nozzle. The nozzle is very small like Iwata, so I purchased a replacement, and now will purchase a replacement needle because 0.3 mm is pretty small.

Great basic airbrush for all around use

I've owned and used a MAX3 for about 2 years. I use it mostly for plastic models but occasionally for simple art work. I also own an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS (which is a fine airbrush for its intended use.)
The MAX 3 has a lower air velocity than the Eclipse (around 4m/s vs over 6m/s) which lets you do close in work with very thin paint easier (less likely to "spider"). Also with the lower velocity, it would be more comfortable on a client if used for makeup or body art.
Over all, I'm very happy with the MAX 3 and grab it more often than my Eclipse.
