This is the newer version that Badger is shipping out and not the good old original one as shown in the photo. The workmanship is just not as good, especially the 1/8" BSP thread which I think is out of tolerance. I can get this exact model (with 1/8" QD adapter instead of M5) from China for just a few dollars.
I have ordered a set of 1/8" BSP tap and die to rethread it.

Bought this along with a recent purchase of a Harder & Steenbeck airbrush and coupler because my older starter airbrush is a badger without quick connect. The connections themselves are interchangeable, so I can use the H&S quick connect male bit with the badger female and vice versa.
While the H&S is smoother and clicks in more neatly and easily, the badger connections are rock solid and everything works with no leaks or problems.
For the price you pay Badger offers good quality and it's American made! There's an appreciable difference between these parts and those from high-end brands like H&S, but they all work perfectly and it's a lot cheaper. Hard to beat.
