'For the Ambassador' Giclee Print by Steven Leahy
From the Artist:
The original for this painting came about as an art swap with my friend Gerald Mendez. In the swap, I wanted to create an image that told a story about Gerald and his art. You don't have to be in the airbrush world very long to know Gerald's work. His skill and attention to detail is clearly evident in all of his amazing artwork. What sets Gerald apart is his passion to educate the world about the airbrush. He offers workshops around the world and his live feeds are always filled with great information. He is truly our international airbrush ambassador. This painting needed to relay all of this, so I chose to feature a new Iwata airbrush and an 1883 Walkup Liberty airbrush. The new brush representing the present and the vintage brush represents Gerald's impressive airbrush collection. In addition there is a reflection in the chrome of Mickey Mouse, another one of his favorites.
The backing card for this print also features a piece of the incredible painting that Gerald created for me.
This giclee is an exact replica of the original painting. Size, color and detail are perfectly matched to the original and it is printed on Hahnemuhle 308 Photo paper by Madison Editions. The printed image at 4 x 4 inches and the overall size of 5 x 5 inches.
Please note :The first run of prints were signed and numbered. The first run has sold out. Consecutive runs will be signed in gold on the image without numbers.
