Mission Models offers five essential primer colors. Their primer is smooth and durable. No sanding needed. Will not hide the finest of details. Please note you must use Mission Models thinner with Mission Models primers. No substitutions. Mission Models thinner activates Mission Models primer. There are no tricks. Just mix the Thinner, Primer, and spray. Mission Models thinner is very powerful which means minimal thinner is needed. If the Primer is translucent when spraying you have over thinned. Mission Models Primer may look a bit thicker than normal. That is OK!

The most versatile primer

I was initially confused about clear primer, but now... it's all clear to me. This primer is great for pretty much anything. It can be put on as-is for a completely clear primer coat on windshields and canopies, or it can be used with any color Mission Models paint you like. Which means if you are doing a color, like red, over a white model base, you can just add a few drops of red paint to this primer, and voila, you've got a nice light-red primer. You've got just that much less white to cover with your subsequent paint coats. The only caveat is: it will make the color you mix translucent. So while it's very helpful for laying down any color you like, it's not going to be an opaque coat like a red oxide primer might be. The only exception I've found is black, that went down pretty opaque.
