I will be short and to the point. The Infinity 2024 is the BEST airbrush I have ever used. I have the earlier model Infinity CR plus which I have been using for several years and which I like very much. That said, this new model just blows it away on many counts. The minute detail that it allows me to paint is almost like using a fine paint brush. The new trigger is so precise and you know exactly when the paint is coming. The entire brush is a work of art and the titanium nozzle is a jewel in itself.
I have used several airbrushes (American, Japanese, and Chinese), but this one is the BEST on all counts and well worth the cost.

I purchased the INFINITY 2024 CRplus from Harder & Steenbeck Airbrush, this is my third airbrush, I have been painting for the last 3 ½ years with an Iwata Eclipse HP-CS, and previously with a Paasche VLS. I paint with Createx Illustration Colors, a high-quality airbrush paint generally reduced by 50%, at low pressure.
The INFINITY 2024 CRplus arrived on December 23, 2024, it was packaged nicely, and arrived with no damage.
The Engineering in the airbrush is magnificent, and the fit and finish appear to be perfect, so why am I giving this airbrush a two-star rating, because it doesn’t perform as Harder & Steenbeck claims. My INFINITY 2024 CRplus will not spray reduced paint, reduced ink or even distilled water below 30 psi.
I have tried to get help from Harder & Steenbeck support but they do not respond, they either don’t know what the problem is, or they don’t care.
I consulted with two other airbrush artists that I follow who used the 2024 Infinity CRplus to create entire paintings on YouTube, (Dred FX, and The Art Workshop), as to what pressure they painted at, and both said 10 psi to 12 psi.
I made sure that the needle, nozzle, and air cap all had the two indications on them, and they did. I removed the paint cup and using a flash light looked through the paint path, and it looked perfect, I then looked at the nozzle and using the flashlight through it as best as I could, and it looked perfect, I then looked at the air cap, and it looked perfect, and I then looked at the needle, and it looked perfect. I also tried to put a few drops of water into the airbrush without the paint cup, but still nothing would come out at a pressure below 30 psi.
When the trigger is pushed down at any pressure, air flows out of the front of the airbrush, and when the trigger is pushed down and pulled back air continues to flow out of the airbrush, and the needle retracts in proportion to the amount that the trigger is pulled back.
I bubble tested around all sealing points, the air cap, the air valve, and quick connect, and nothing is leaking.
I am reading the pressure supplied to the air brush with a high accuracy pressure gauge +/-1.6% across the full range of the gauge, and I checked it with two independent gauges, and the readings were very close.
Everything seems to work properly, except the airbrush will not paint below 30 psi as others who have the same airbrush can.
I do not have any expertise in airbrush engineering, but it seems that the airflow across the nozzle at pressures below 30 psi is not sufficient to create the vacuum required to pull the reduced paint, reduced ink, or distilled water from the paint cup. Some possible reasons that this is happening are;
1. The nozzle OD is above the maximum specification.
2. The air cap hole is below the minimum specification.
3. Both the nozzle OD is above the maximum specification, and the air cap hole is below the minimum specification
4. The nozzle OD is at the highest end of the specification, and the air cap hole is at the lowest end of the specification, and this condition was never tested.
5. The air valve creates a larger than expected pressure drop.
6. The chamber connecting the air valve cavity to the inside of the air cap has debris from the manufacturing process causing a significant pressure drop.
Everything seems to work properly, except the airbrush will not paint below 30 psi as others who have the same airbrush can. I have tried both reduced paint and ink, and when I tested the airbrush with distilled water it eliminates the paint and ink as a factor.
I sent Harder & Steenbeck Support an email on January 11, 2025, within the 30-day refund/replacement time asking them to do something to make this airbrush function properly, and they didn’t even respond. You will probably have better luck getting them to do something with Spraygunner backing you.
The airbrush does paint at 30psi, I have painted a portrait with my new Infinity 2024 CRplus, and I have attached a “jpg” of it. It was painted on 10 in X 12 in synthetic paper. The brush performs best at 32 psi, but for this airbrush to utilize its full potential you must be able to paint at low pressure with reduced paint or ink.
It is worth noting that parts for this airbrush are not available through distribution, and although I have not needed any parts yet, I can’t imagine trying to get them through Harder & Steenbeck Support.
