I'm still new to airbrushing, but this is my second brush. I purchased the first to speed up basecoating my minis for wargaming and quickly learned that yes, a dirt cheap airbrush will technically work, but you'll quickly develop an appreciation for new and different problems. The Procon Boy PS-289 is still in the sweet spot of being affordable and works with the mini compressor that came with my first airbrush, but has a lot more control and smoother application of paint. I'm excited to start trying some more nuanced techniques now that I have a tool that can actually do them!

Beginners to experts will find this airbrush indispensable. Smooth flow, excellent build quality and finish. Very very fine lines to a nice spread. Feels very balanced in my hand with a smooth trigger pull. You won't regret it.
