Blue squirrel is the most readily available and comes in long lengths, as well as short lengths. It is generally used for striping brushes and lettering brushes. Brown, or kazan, is no longer as plentiful as it was several years ago. It is generally found in the shorter lengths and used for stripers, quills, and outliners. Both blue and kazan are very soft and fine. They point as well as kolinsky, but have very little snap, since the hair is not very resilient. Grey squirrel is the hardest to find and the most expensive. It is more durable, has more snap and makes a great quill or lettering brush.

Custom Creative 100% Urethane Pinstriping paint striping/lettering/airbrush

Size: 125ml (4.22oz)

New product (late 2019) from European manufacturer of high quality paints Custom Creative. Made with the best available fine pigments, these 100% urethane paints are suitable for both: pinstriping brush for custom designs, striping and lettering as well as airbrush for additional elements of any custom project.

Ready to go out of the can, but also may be thinned with UR-305 reducer.

It is considered a Basecoat and requires clear coat over it. Good news - tested with most automotive grade clear coats available on the market and absolutely no issues found!

If you wish to have your stripes on top of everything, it's also achievable with Custom Creative urethane pinstriping product. Just add HUR-505 hardener in 1:8 proportion and no clear coat is necessary!

Even when these paints are reduced, coverage levels are incredible. Even the hardest colors like white over black will require just one coat to look awesome!

Drying times are also phenomenal for this paint. After one color is laid down, wait 6-10 minutes and apply another color over it with no mixing/bleeding issues!
