If your a heaven user as myself I would use replace the seal every 6 months. Thats just my recommendation. Improves the brush quality and flow after intense use.

After servicing my airbrushes I switched the seals and everything works as advertised. What I did notice, was that the old seals were hard and compressed. They were in my airbrushes for about a year and I predominantly use lacquer based paints and inks and clean my airbrushes with Alclad II airbrush cleaner. Either way, I'm good for another year spraying!

If you develop issues with air bubbles coming back into your color cup, it may be time to change to a new needle seal. My original lasted over a year with heavy use. Very good seals and easy to install with the installation tool.
