La fórmula de pintura a base de agua se comporta como una laca y está optimizada para un rendimiento máximo tanto con brocha como con aerógrafo. Estas pinturas destacan por ser autonivelantes y de rápido secado, y por su poder cubriente, lo que las hace únicas en el mercado. Además, son extremadamente duraderos, lo que permite aplicar sobre ellos acrílicos, esmaltes e incluso productos de modelado más calientes, como soluciones de calcomanías.
Estos colores se presentan en un nuevo envase transparente de 20 ml que incorpora un nuevo tapón que se puede abrir y cerrar con una mano. Estas pinturas no son tóxicas ni tienen olor.
I was exposed to this paint set by a friend who ordered it first. He inspired me with a project of painting an entire warband with just the colors in the set... so far so good! I love the matte finish on these paints (it's easily the equal to my "regular" Scale75 paints!) and also I am appreciating the smooth, liquid nature of the paint...I know that sounds odd, but I usually use Scale75, which, having a gel medium, can be a touch thicker...gummy-er? than typical mini paint. With this paint I do not experience that at all.
One "downside"(not even that "down", just something to be aware of) is that these paints are hydrophillic! Not as bad as ProAcryl, but very close. So keep slightly less water in the wet pallet, or expect them to thin out fast(not bad either, just a thing to be aware of).
I am excitd to hear that there should be a Kickstarter release of this line from Big Child and Mig soon! I am hoping for a concise range of similar incredibly vibrant and strong paints with high mixability, bright, saturated colors and a nice "feel" to work with.
Although the color range is small, you can mix the colors easily without them going cloudy. Opacity is high but I would recommend applying two thin coats for a smooth result. Pigmentation is really high so you can use glazing technique. It's a bit thick like Citadel so it stays nice on wet palette and you can thin them to your liking. The reason I bought this was these paints were supposed to be different than the regular ATOM paints but I haven't tried them yet. I guess those are more for scale models/airbrushing rather than miniature brush painting, but haven't found any comparisons so far.
Great coverage with vibrant colors. Nice consistency with very little need for thinning on wet pallet. Bottles are a great design too, very easy to control paint flow drop by drop.
Nice opacity and consistency! Really enjoying working with these. Only downside is they seem to separate and.... melt? On a wet pallet so I don't think I'll store them that way again. that doesn't take away from how great they are. I would definitely recommend these
