Createx Airbrush Colors Water-Based Retarder
Createx Airbrush Colors Retarder is intended to extend the drying time of your paints. Good for dry climates.
Made with lightfast pigments, with exception of fluorescents.
Operate at 40-50 PSI with 0.5mm tip. For smaller tip sizes Reduce with Createx 5601 Transparent Base. For washfast results, cure with heat.
For use on hard surfaces, plastic and vinyl, mix with Createx 4030 additive 10-30% per volume for increased adhesion and durability.
I mix in a 17ml dropper bottle, 10% 5607 and 90% 4011 Reducer. I use this to thin Mission Model Paints when spraying fine detail and Camo patterns through my .2mm H&S Evolution. You can add a bit more 4011/5607 thinner mix since it seems less powerful than the MMP thinner. Just another amazing quality of Mission Model Paints...they spray with practically no overspray and coverage is excellent.
Used it on my paints and it makes them flow great out my airbrush.
I finally found instructions on how to use this product, go to Createx home page, select products, you will find it listed towards the bottom of the list, I was using way to much your supposed to add your 4030, and 4011 reducer first, and then you only need about 3-4 drops per 30ml of paint, I did this and it has good adhesion, and takes about 10-15min to dry, and it also stopped my dry tip problem, but I live in a high Desert with about 15-20% humidity, that’s why I need it!!
The instructions for how to mix it, aren’t very good, I mixed about 40% paint to 20% retarder, then I added about 15% 4030, it sprayed good, and I live in a climate with 8-10% humidity, it doesn’t tell you if it’s ok to add A little 4011, it’s been a half hour now still not dry, It’s hard to use, because if you don’t use enough your paints to thick, and if you use to much it takes forever to dry!!
This works just as it is intended to. I don't use it often but when I do it helps out greatly.
