AMMO by MIG ALCLAD II Metallic Paint for Airbrush
Color: POLISHED BRASS ALC109
From the Manufacturer:
High quality metallic paint perfect to accurately obtain the typical metallic appearance of Pale Burnt Metal. Similar strength to lacquer/cellulose automotive paints.
This color is airbrush ready, no thinning necessary. Spray at 12-15psi from 2-3 inches from the surface and apply in several light misted coats. The surfaces to be painted must be thoroughly clean and free from dust, grease, oil, and finger prints. Avoid prolonged exposure to vapors and ensure adequate ventilation. Apply a primer before use. Primers should be lightly polished with 1000/1200 wet & dry paper to provide a less absorbent smooth surface. Clean airbrush with A.MIG-8200 (307 Lacquer thinner and cleaner).
Paint manufactured by Alclad II according to its original formulation and now additionally distributed by AMMO of Mig Jimenez.
It appears that this is either a different recipe then before the mig distribution or that they just have poor quality control. After several failed attempts to get this to spray with the typical Alclad high shine I did more research online and found that there were known issues with this specific paint and Alclad had actually discontinued the paint right before the redistribution with mig. In short, it looks like they are still having problems with the paint and I got a bad batch. I am hoping spraygunner has good customer support and offers a refund on this and that they're able to pass on the cost to mig continuing to produce what is clearly now a faulty product
